I find myself overlooking Bordeaux more given the wines are often less flattering on the pallet. There was a time when I was drinking Bordeaux almost frequently and nowadays it’s rare to open a Bottle. I had the opportunity to try the 1999 Margaux, it is drinking well showing vibrant spices and a classic (left bank) Bordeaux fruit. The La Fleur (right bank) 2010 and was just pure joy, excellent and worthy of another try – it was a good Pomerol surprise.
(94 Margaux)
(95 La Fleur)
