When in Tokyo you shouldn’t miss trying Oyakodon and this is its birthplace. Oyakodon is a donburi, a rice bowl dish with chicken, egg and other ingredients simmered together and served on top of a bowl of rice.The eggs are still runny and the taste is umami. Tamahide in Nihonbashi Ningyocho has a perpetual line out its front door, regardless if it is a weekday or holiday. I guess it makes sense given it was founded in 1760 and is still going strong.
