The Japanese have a culture of potatoes but mostly the sweet potato. In the past carts and later trucks circled the streets selling yakimo, a baked sweet potato. If you cook these for Japanese you’ll find smiles as I did.
But I had never seen these before and I found them in the market, a dark brownish micro-mini potatoes. I cooked them and added some garlic and herbs- interesting little potatoes.
